How to Fix the Handbrake on a BMW 3 Series

To fix the handbrake on a BMW 3 Series (if it does not stop even when pulled all the way), start by putting the car on a lift and raising it, or on a flat surface, securely immobilized, and lifted with a jack, so that the left rear wheel can rotate freely. At this point, remove all the bolts that secure the wheel in place, except for one. Now, using a screwdriver, unlock the mechanism found inside the hole of a bolt (as shown in the video images), until the wheel can rotate freely. Repeat the same process on the right rear wheel. At this point, the job is done!
