Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Model: BMW Z3 MK 1 - Years 1995-2002

Obtain the replacement kit with the correct amount of oil suitable for your engine type and the filter. Lift the car with suitable jacks and secure it with appropriate supports so that it cannot fall, allowing you to work safely. Place a plastic sheet and an oil collection tray under the engine. Unscrew the oil drain plug on the sump and let it drain. Using a ratchet spanner, gently unscrew the oil filter and remove it from its housing. Replace the used filter cartridge with a new one, also replacing the O-ring gasket. Close the oil drain plug, reassemble the oil filter, and top up with new oil. After a test drive, check the oil level again and reset the onboard computer for the next service. Do not dispose of used oil in the environment; take it to the appropriate collection centres.
