Disassemble BMW 3 Series Key Battery

Disassemble the battery of a BMW 3 Series key if it is dead. Here’s how to take it apart from inside the key. Take your remote and slide the button to release the metal key. Remove the plastic cover. Pry it open until the cover separates from the casing, then use a screwdriver to extract the battery. Replace it with a new one of the same size and voltage. Reattach the plastic cover to the key fob until you hear it click into place. Insert the metal key back into the remote. Check the remote's functionality with the operating buttons.
