Replacing the Key Battery of the BMW 3 Series

Let’s see in this guide how to disassemble and replace the battery of the BMW 3 Series key, as well as the Z4. First, take your key and start prying at the small side slot using something thin to open the key into two parts; then remove the small battery from the circuit board, being careful not to damage the contacts, as shown in the video. At this point, install the new battery of the correct type (in this case, an LIR 2025); all that’s left is to reassemble your key!
