Check Engine Oil Level and Top Up

Open the hood and ensure it is securely supported: pull the engine oil dipstick and check the level to assess any oil consumption between services. The dipstick has two marks indicating the minimum level (the lower mark) and the maximum level (the upper mark): the top-up between minimum and maximum is one quart of oil. The top-up must obviously be done with engine oil that meets the correct SAE specifications, which can be verified in the owner's manual.

Next to the oil filter container is the power steering oil reservoir: by unscrewing the cap, you can check the oil level using the dipstick located right under the cap.
