To check the engine oil level of the BMW 3 Series, open the hood to access the internal components of the engine compartment. Here, you will find the dipstick for checking the oil level.

At this point, pull out the dipstick and wipe it with a cloth. Then, reinsert it and pull it out again.

This way, you can see the mark left by the oil in the system. Ensure that this mark is between the minimum and maximum levels indicated on the dipstick, and top off if necessary.
