Check Fluid Levels and Routine Inspections

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Open the hood and ensure it is securely supported. The recommended routine checks to perform are as follows (perform with the engine cold):
- Check engine oil level using the dipstick (if the level is at the minimum, add 1 quart of oil; halfway between minimum and maximum means add 0.5 quart);
- Check brake fluid level (if the level is not at maximum, it may be due to brake pad wear, so do not top off but check the pads instead);
- Check power steering fluid level (remove the cap from the reservoir to check the level);
- Check coolant level in the radiator (remove the cap to check the float position);
- Clean the air filter;
- Check windshield washer fluid level;

How to Open the Fuel Cap of the Volkswagen Jetta
