How to Replace the Horn on a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Before proceeding with the replacement of the horn on the BMW 3 Series, position the car on a lift or on a flat surface to work safely and stably. At this point, open the hood and remove the right front wheel. Now, using the appropriate wrench, remove the inner splash shield in the fender corresponding to the wheel just removed. For this operation, first remove the lower splash shield that protects the engine. Then, disconnect the electrical connector of the right position light and remove it from its housing. In the upper inner position of the position light housing, locate the bolt that secures the horn in place. You can then remove the horn and replace it with the new one. Reassemble everything by reversing the steps shown in the images, and you're done!
