Replacing BMW 1 Key Battery

Do you want to disassemble your car key? Here’s how to replace the battery in your BMW 1 Series key. Take your remote key and use a screwdriver to pry apart the two halves of the plastic key cover. Remove the worn battery, and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Refit the cover onto your remote by pressing down until you hear it click into place. Check that the remote key functions correctly. If you wish to replace the circuit board or other components inside, separate the remote key into two pieces.
