How to change the automatic transmission oil in the BMW E90

Model: BMW Serie 3 E92, E90, E91 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Transmission fluid

To replace the automatic gearbox oil on the BMW 3 Series E90, it is necessary to have advanced competence, professional machinery and above all to use PPE (personal protective equipment) to protect hands and eyes. Now let's see in detail the various steps. With the car suspended, remove the bottom panel that covers the gearbox oil sump, unscrew the cap and drain a quantity of oil equal to the volume of the washing additive that we will have to introduce, after having connected the fittings of the equipment. Once the additive has been inserted, the car must travel approximately 20km in order to wash the gearbox, torque converter and gearbox oil cooling circuit. After these km, lift the car again, reopen the cap and let the used oil drain completely. Completely unscrew the oil pan and remove it, paying attention to the residual oil. Remove the old gasket, clean the base where we will put the new gasket and replace the oil filter. Introduce in the gearbox the quantity and type of oil indicated by the parent company and complete it by inserting the additive with nano particles that reduces friction on the various components of the gearbox.

How to Remove the Interior Light of a Mini

Remove the interior light of a Mini: use a screwdriver or plastic lever to pry between the cover and the light itself (avoid damaging the headlining), pull the cover out from the panel and disconnect the power connector after removing it. Replace the damaged bulb with a new one (same size and voltage). Refit the light into its housing (push it in with your hands until the metal clips are fully locked). Test the light's functionality before completely refitting the piece.
