Airbag Replacement on BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Before starting maintenance, disconnect the battery for safety reasons: simply remove the negative terminal (black cable). Insert two medium-small flathead screwdrivers into the two side slots behind the steering wheel and wiggle them until the center airbag pops out: as shown in the video, this operation requires patience and some time; it is not immediate. Once this is done, the job is practically finished: at this point, you only need to disconnect the two rear connectors by pushing the tab with the flathead screwdriver.
