How to Reset the "Service" Light on a BMW 5 Series

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

Before starting, sit in the driver's seat of your BMW 5 Series. Begin by pressing and holding the button located near the fuel gauge. Meanwhile, activate the instrument cluster by turning the key to the first position in the ignition switch. Once the instrument cluster is on, continue to hold the button until you enter the reset menu. At this point, press the button again and hold it until the "Service" light turns off. After completing this last step, you will have reset the "Service" light on your BMW 5 Series.
