To reset the Anti-Trap function of the windows on the BMW 3 Series, turn on the ignition and fully lower the driver's side window while holding the button down. Keep the button pressed until the Anti-Trap indicator appears on the display, depicted as a door with the window down and an exclamation point.

At this point, raise the window and hold the button for a few more seconds; this will deactivate the Anti-Trap function of the BMW 3 Series windows.
