How to Replace a Xenon Bulb

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

When a xenon bulb burns out, it needs to be replaced quickly to avoid violating traffic laws. This is extremely simple. First, purchase a new bulb, referring to the product code and trying to buy one that matches the original kit. Remove the old bulb by taking off the plastic cover that protects the headlight, carefully removing the clip that holds it, and disconnecting the three wires that connect it to the control unit. Install the new bulb by connecting it directly to the wires leading to the xenon control unit. Reattach the plastic cover that was removed earlier to close the headlight, turning it in the opposite direction of opening.
