Replacing the Windshield Washer Pump in the BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 F30, F31 - Years 2012-2019

Before proceeding with the replacement of the windshield washer pump in the BMW 3 Series, park your car securely on a flat surface or on a lift, ensuring it is stable and safe. This way, you protect the operator's safety while performing the work. This precaution should be taken whenever maintenance is performed on any vehicle. At this point, the first step is to remove the lower plastic trim of the front body, which is secured in place with clips. Also, remove the splash shield (after removing the tire) located inside the right fender by unscrewing the screws that hold it in place (as shown in the images). The windshield washer reservoir is shaped according to the fender and is located inside it, near the outer edge. On the left side of the fender, unscrew the various screws that secure the reservoir, and after disconnecting the various hoses, move it toward the center to access the 3 pumps. The left one is for the rear window, the center one is for the windshield, and the right one is for the headlights. Disconnect the hose and the electrical connector from the center pump and replace it with the new pump. Reassembly follows the reverse of the removal process.
