If the engine fails to start, with an irregular rotation speed during this phase, it is possible that fuel does not arrive correctly due to an inefficiency of the pump, to be understood as the one immersed in the tank. A very quick and effective way to check the operation of the pump is to intercept the bleed valve located on the side of the injector supply rail, loosen it slightly and turn on the panel: if fuel comes out regularly then it means that the pump is working and the cause of the failure to start must be sought elsewhere.
