How to Change the Oil on a BMW 1 Series

Regularly changing the engine oil improves your engine's efficiency and increases its reliability and longevity. Fortunately, this is a very simple operation that anyone can perform. Just follow these steps. Before you start, remember to turn off the engine to deal with oil at a relatively low and safe temperature. Lift the front bonnet, locate the oil reservoir, and proceed to remove the filter. Next, lift the car with a suitable jack, go underneath the engine bay, and remove the plastic cover. Unscrew the oil reservoir cap. Place a container underneath and let all the used oil drain out. Re-screw the cap. Now return to the reservoir and pour in the new oil using a funnel. Refit the filter (or replace it if necessary). Finally, close the bonnet.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?
