How to replace the battery in the BMW X1 2016

With this tutorial we are going to see how to independently replace the car battery. First, let's get a new battery from auto parts or large-scale retail stores. When purchasing, we pay attention to the arrangement of the poles and the necessary amperage; in fact, an inversion of the arrangement of the poles or a low amperage with respect to the request of the car could make the replacement operation impossible. Procured the battery, let's open the engine hood and view the battery. The video shows the presence of another battery which is connected to the system; it has the function of continuing to power the system making sure that the settings without lasting memory are not lost (see the radio, the clock, etc ...). Before proceeding we must go and disassemble the fairing above the battery; we also need to remove the air filter placed in front of the battery compartment and its side protection. So we unscrew the lower fixing plate, we go to disconnect the battery clamps and pull it out in the direction of travel. We insert the new one in position, we fix the clamps and we go to reassemble the upper bar and the fairing, the air filter, the brackets and the battery protectors. Finally, if we have a multimeter available, we can measure the voltage across the battery with the engine running to make sure it is charged by the alternator.
