How to replace the key battery in the BMW 5 Series G30

Replacing the button cell battery inside the key of your BMW 5 Series G30 is very simple and thanks to the indications in the following guide you will be able to complete the entire operation without the slightest difficulty. First locate the button on the side of the cover and remove the physical emergency key. Immediately afterwards, open the cover using the same key just removed and proceed with replacing the used battery with the new one. Finally, reassemble the cover correctly and personally test the effective functioning of the key.

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge.
