In this short and simple guide, you will find instructions to open the remote and replace the battery of the BMW 3 Series key. First, take the remote in hand and start prying at the side slot using something thin and sharp to split the remote casing into two parts; then access the circuit board and the battery, which you will remove and replace, as shown in the video. Now install the new battery of the correct type, inserting it in the right direction; then snap the two casings back together!
