How do you open the door of your car with the metal key from the remote on a BMW 3 Series? Take your remote and press the button to extend the metal key (if this option is available). Once the key is out, insert it into the lock (the lock cylinder located in the handle) and open the car door. To lock the door, insert the metal key into the door lock and turn it to the lock position. As soon as possible, replace the battery in the key remote and test its proper function.
