Removing the Cabin Air Vent Fan

Model: BMW Serie 7 MK 3, E38 - Years 1994-2001

After completely removing the dashboard, you will finally have access to the cabin air vent fan motor. The following images will show you the final stages of the job. As the images show, first remove the plastic vents. Next, remove the plastic bars that control the opening and closing of the air intake vents that direct the flow of cold or hot air. As you can see, they are snap-fitted onto their respective pins. Now, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the screws to take off the protective cover. Finally, remove the mounting screws and take out the fan itself. Car model: BMW E38 740i Year: 2000
Required tools: Torx wrench 20/25, forked screwdriver for spring pins.
