How to Reset the Engine Light on the BMW 120D Series 1

Model: BMW Serie 1 MK 2, F20, F21 - Years 2011-2019

In this video, you will learn how to reset the engine light on the BMW 120D Series 1. This operation must be done with the instrument panel powered on. Take an OBD2 device and plug it into the socket located at the bottom left of the steering wheel, near the door (you can also use an extension). Open the application you previously downloaded on your mobile phone (tablet or PC) for engine diagnostics and connect it via Bluetooth to your OBD2 device. Press on the 'Error Code' option found in the application and wait for the system to synchronise. Once synchronised, press 'Update' and when the error is displayed, proceed to clear it by clicking on the 'clear error' button. Now start the engine and if the operation was successful, the engine light will no longer appear.
