Resurfacing/Turning Brake Discs

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Checks and maintenance

If you feel the steering wheel vibrating during braking, it is likely that the brake discs have become slightly warped: if they are not excessively worn and still have effective thickness, you can have them resurfaced rather than replaced, and this operation can also be performed on the vehicle without removing the disc if you have the proper equipment; in some ways, this solution is even better as it ensures that no eccentricity is generated during installation on the hub; however, if you decide to have the disc resurfaced, you need to remove it by first taking off the complete caliper with the bracket, and after installation, you obviously need to replace the brake pads as well.

Remove a Rear Light from a Volkswagen Touran

Remove a rear light from a Volkswagen Touran to replace the damaged bulbs. Open the boot lid, and using a lever, remove the plastic cover of the rear light. Unscrew the securing bolts located at the side of the rear light with a screwdriver (using a socket spanner or screwdriver with a bit). Once the light is free from any constraints, detach it from the bodywork (disconnect the relevant power connectors). Replace the damaged bulbs with identical ones in size and voltage. Finally, reassemble the light and reverse the assembly of the other parts.
