Replacing Brake Rotors on BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 F30, F31 - Years 2012-2019

Are the brake pads worn out? Do you want to replace the rotor? Let's see how to disassemble the parts. Lift the car on a column lift, then remove the wheel (using a socket wrench or air drill). Unscrew the caliper lock pin and remove the caliper from the wheel hub. Use a screwdriver to take the pads out of the wheel hub caliper. Unscrew the retaining screws on the brake rotor. Install the new brake rotor and attach the new pads to the caliper. Mount the caliper with the bracket onto the brake rotor, tighten all the pins, and reinstall the wheel. Replace the brake pads with identical parts. Top off with brake fluid if necessary.
