How to replace the brake discs of the BMW 3 series![]()

- Years 2005-2013 To replace the brake discs of the BMW 3 series proceed as follows: 1) Raise the car. 2) Remove the wheel. 3) Intercept the bolts that hold the brake caliper anchored to the hub and remove them. 4) Remove the metal clip on the front side of the brake caliper. 5) Using a screwdriver to compress the internal pumping element and remove the brake caliper. 6) Anchor the caliper with an elastic cord so as not to damage the brake circuit and remove the old pads inside. 7) Identify the bolts of the bracket holding the brake caliper and remove the latter. 8) Remove the disc with the aid of a percussion screwdriver. 9) Reinstall everything by proceeding in the reverse order taking care to clean the surface of the disc before installing it and to compress the brake caliper pumping elements.
