How to Replace the Brake Rotors on a BMW 3 Series

To replace the brake rotors on a BMW 3 Series, follow these steps: 1) Lift the vehicle. 2) Remove the wheel. 3) Remove the bolts securing the brake caliper to the hub. 4) Remove the metal clip on the front side of the brake caliper. 5) Using a screwdriver, compress the internal piston and remove the brake caliper. 6) Secure the caliper with a bungee cord to avoid damaging the brake line and remove the old brake pads inside. 7) Locate the bolts of the bracket holding the brake caliper and remove it. 8) Remove the rotor using a hammer and a punch. 9) Reinstall everything in reverse order, making sure to clean the surface of the rotor before installing it and compress the brake caliper pistons.
