How to Reset the Service on a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Warning light – error code

If you have changed the oil and the related filter on this car model, the following description provides the procedure and various steps necessary to perform the reset. With the engine off, press and hold the left button on the instrument cluster. Turn the key to position 1 while still holding the button. Wait about 5 seconds while continuing to hold the button until the service message appears. Now release the button and then press it again until the RESET message flashes. Release the button and quickly press it again as soon as the message reappears during the flashing. Operation completed.
