Operation: Removing the radiator fan.

Open the engine compartment hood and locate the position of the radiator fan which is on the front just behind the radiator itself. Using two suitable keys, with one of these lock the locking mechanism of the fan and with the other turn clockwise until the locking mechanism is released. At this point the fan is disengaged and we can remove it from its housing. Now we can mount a new fan or, after any maintenance, reassemble the same fan. The car on which this maintenance was done is a BMW 3 Series.
