This guide will show you the main steps to remove and replace the cylinder head gasket on BMW 3 Series models with gasoline engines. First, open the hood and start by removing the spark plugs and taking off the cylinder head cover by unscrewing all the fastening bolts.

You will need to remove the timing cover and take off the serpentine belt. Next, unscrew all the cylinder head bolts to remove it, then take off the old gasket.

Clean the surface of the cylinder head and the cylinders thoroughly, following the video tutorial to the end!
