Where is the battery located in the BMW 3 Series?

As shown, the battery is not located in the traditional engine compartment but inside the trunk, specifically in the lower area of the right wall. Before removing it, ensure the key is not in the ignition, then open the trunk and remove the indicated panel. Next, disconnect both terminals, starting with the negative, unscrew the bolts of the mounting bracket, and pull the battery out of the housing.
