In this video, we will see how to install the 8.8" screen on a BMW 1 Series. The part with the air conditioning vents can be removed gently; disconnect the cables behind it, remove the two screws holding the climate control panel and its connector. Underneath, there is a plastic panel that we remove, then take out the central module, followed by the screws from the existing screen. Replace the cable with the one that came with the screen, connecting it to the original module, taking care not to route it too close to the air vents. Now, find a way to route the cables for the two USB ports under the glove compartment, pull out the GPS antenna, and then connect the screen. Reassemble everything, including the air conditioning vents.
