How to Turn Off the Airbag Light

Model: BMW Serie 7 E66, E67, E68, E65, MK 4 - Years 2001-2008

Having the airbag light constantly on can be annoying and distracting while driving. However, it usually indicates a minor setting issue that can easily occur, especially during operations involving the electrical system of the car. First, sit inside your car and turn the ignition key to start the instrument cluster without starting the engine. The airbag light will stay on for about 7 seconds before turning off. Immediately after, turn off the instrument cluster by returning the key to the off position. Wait about 5 seconds and repeat the previous two steps. Repeat the entire process a third time. At this point, start the instrument cluster again, wait for the airbag light to turn off, and then start the engine to check if the procedure was effective. The airbag light should no longer be on, allowing you to drive without any distractions as the issue will be resolved.
