How to Replace the Steering Wheel on a BMW 3 Series

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery to avoid any unexpected airbag deployment. Next, insert a Torx screwdriver into the two holes behind the steering wheel to push the clips and remove the center panel of the steering wheel. Now, lift the center part of the steering wheel and disconnect the connector at the back. This allows you to extract the steering wheel's central lock. Then, remove the large central bolt to completely detach the steering wheel from its position. Retrace your steps for reinstallation.
