The maintenance plan for the BMW 3 Series involves periodically replacing the air filter. To do this, we open the hood of the engine compartment, use a 6mm socket wrench to loosen the clamp on the filter intake tube, detach the box from the anti-vibration mounts, and remove the intake tube. Using a screwdriver, we release the four fixing clips, remove the box containing the old filter element from below, replace it with a new filter, ensuring correct installation. Insert the filter box into its housing and secure it with the clips, lubricate the anti-vibration mounts with soap, and reassemble the entire unit, paying attention to the filter holder hooks, reattach the intake tube and tighten its clamp.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds.
