The procedure for replacing the heater core in a BMW 3 Series requires completely disassembling the dashboard: start by loosening the screws that secure the panels around the steering column, then remove the steering wheel and all the trim on the passenger side.

Next, pry off the covers of the center tunnel and the center control panel: after removing all these components, you will be able to loosen the support bolts for the heater core and disconnect the hoses.

This will allow you to insert the new heater core and reassemble all the removed parts.
