Steering Tie Rod Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 3 E36 - Years 1990-2001
Part: Tie rods

If the vehicle experiences steering instability, you need to replace the tie rods. Lift the vehicle, secure it, and remove the wheels. Remove the clamps from the rubber boots protecting the tie rods. Next, unscrew the nut holding the tie rod to the wheel assembly, and then unscrew the nut on the tie rod connecting it to the steering box. At this point, you can remove the tie rod. Install the rubber boots on the new tie rods, replace the metal seals with new ones, and reinstall the tie rods, securing the rubber boots with hose clamps. It is advisable to also replace the rubber boots. Adjust the tie rods to properly align the wheels.

How to Replace the Air Filter on Opel Vectra

Let's see how to remove the engine air filter mounted on the Opel Vectra: open the car door, pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, and lift the front bonnet, securing it with the prop rod. Unscrew the clamp of the air intake hose, unscrew the securing screws of the filter box (around the perimeter), remove the cover, and extract the worn air filter. Insert a new filter into the designated housing (ensuring it fits snugly against the walls). Finally, refit the air box panel and tighten the screws. Close the front bonnet after maintenance.
