The service light that appears on the instrument cluster of the BMW 1 Series can be reset by turning on the instrument cluster, turning the key in the corresponding ignition switch. This will allow you to navigate the menu that appears on the central display of the dashboard.

Use the controls located on the central tunnel of the vehicle, selecting the Maintenance option: this will allow you to select the "Reset" option to make the light disappear, also restoring the maintenance interval. At the end of the operation, you can turn off the instrument cluster.
