- Years 2004-2013 In order to reset the BMW 1 Series Service warning light, you have to turn the key to turn on the instrument panel, holding down the button located on the left side of the panel. It will be necessary to hold it down until the triangle icon with the exclamation point becomes the oil icon: at this point it is necessary to press the BC button on the lever to the left of the steering wheel and then the instrument panel must be switched off. By turning it on again, it will be possible to verify that the Service warning light will not be present on the panel and will not come on until the maintenance has to be carried out again.
