The steps to replace the battery for the 2023 BMW 5 Series key are simple and quick to perform on your own. First, press the button on the side of the remote to remove the emergency metal key contained inside. Insert the key into the remote, apply pressure outward, and open it. Next, remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 battery.

Close the remote and reinsert the metal key. Finally, go near the vehicle to test its functionality.
