Replacing the tail light bulbs on a BMW X1, as shown in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and quick task. Before proceeding, ensure that the key is not in the ignition for safety.

Start by opening the trunk, then remove the inner plastic cover of the light by disengaging the corresponding fastener. Next, loosen the two mounting nuts with a 10mm socket wrench, separate the light assembly from the body, and disconnect the power connector.

At this point, simply replace the faulty bulb and reassemble everything.
