How do you reset the Service indicator light on the BMW 1 Series?

The Service indicator that appears on the instrument panel of the BMW 1 Series can be reset by turning on the instrument panel by turning the key inside the corresponding ignition switch: this way you will be able to navigate through the menu that will appear on the central display of the dashboard. You will need to use the controls on the central tunnel of the vehicle, selecting the "Maintenance" option: this way you will be able to select the "Reset" option to make the indicator disappear completely and the maintenance interval restored. At the end of the operation, you can turn off the instrument panel.
