How to Program the Key for the Cadillac XT4

With this video, you can learn how to program a new blank key to make it usable with your Cadillac XT4. Remove the plastic cover from the lock on the driver’s side door handle and open the door. Insert the key and turn it to the left five times, then wait 10 minutes and close and reopen the door. Press the engine start button, as instructed on the display of the car, and wait for another 10 minutes. Repeat the previous steps, waiting for another 10 minutes. Now take the key and place it in the glove compartment and press the start button again. Take the new key and press the unlock or lock button on the doors. The key is programmed. To exit the car's programming mode, press the ignition button 12 times.
