How to Replace the Shift Knob on the Cadillac ATS

This guide shows how to replace the shift knob on the Cadillac ATS. The first step is to lift the armrest and remove the trim from the center console. Using a 7 mm wrench, remove the two fastening bolts of the center plate. Remove the cup holder and take off the front trim of the shifter. Remove the fastening pin of the knob and take out the part; pull the old knob off the center console plate. Install the new replacement part and reassemble everything in place. Check the proper functioning of the shift lever before hitting the road.
