If you cannot open your Chevrolet/Holden Captiva with the remote, you can use the physical key stored inside the remote. Simply pull it out from the remote and insert it into the driver’s door lock to open it. To start the vehicle, there is a special slot in the central tunnel where you can insert the electronic key, which is specifically for this purpose.

With the key in this slot, you can start the vehicle without any issues. You will need to replace the battery in your remote as soon as possible, as the vehicle will indicate that the electronic key has not been detected.
