How to Remove the External Rearview Mirror from the Chevrolet Express Mk2

This guide shows how to remove the external rearview mirror from the Chevrolet Express Mk2. The first step is to remove the trim cover located behind the internal door lock lever and unscrew the two exposed Phillips screws. Remove the armrest, held in place by some plastic clips, and take out the screws present. At this point, using a plastic trim tool, disconnect the clips securing the door panel by working on the edge of the panel itself. Remove the connectors from the panel and the sound-deadening plastic. Disconnect the mirror control connector before removing the part. Remove the three mounting bolts of the mirror and extract the unit, being careful not to damage the bodywork. Install the new rearview mirror and check the proper functioning of the electric control. Reinstall the door panel.
