First, purchase a new oil filter from an automotive parts dealer (original replacement part). Get into the vehicle, turn off the engine, and engage the handbrake; lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate prop. Once you locate the oil filter (it is located under the exhaust manifold, on the timing belt side), unscrew it by hand, using a cloth for grip. After removing it, clean up any oil residue. Fit the new filter, screwing it in with the cloth (to make it easier). Ensure the filter is tightened properly before adding oil.
