These simple and brief steps will illustrate how to remove and replace the oil filter cartridge on the Chevrolet Captiva 2.4L. Along with the oil filter replacement, remember to also replace the engine oil by unscrewing the drain bolt found on the sump to drain it; then use the appropriate socket wrench to unscrew and remove the oil filter, as shown in the video. At this point, install the new seal on the filter and the new cartridge, as well as the original one; screw on and gently tighten the filter, and finally pour in the engine oil!
