Immediately after performing the regular oil change on your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, reset the maintenance light manually to prevent it from staying on the dashboard by mistake. To complete the operation, follow this procedure.

First, get in the vehicle and ensure the ignition is off, then insert the key and turn it to the on position. While the dashboard lights up, press the accelerator pedal all the way down three times in a row to complete the maintenance light reset procedure.
