Operation: How to replace the fuel pump on a Chrysler PT Cruiser

Before we can start, we will have to open the fuel cap of our Chrysler PT Cruiser, and then disconnect the battery, so as to work in total safety. So let's start by lifting the rear of the car. After that, we will have to disassemble and remove the tank, disconnecting the relative sleeves, then unscrew and remove the fixing bolts and disconnect the various electrical connectors. Once this is done, we will have to disengage and remove the cover of the petrol pump. We then proceed by disconnecting the various sleeves and electrical connectors connected to it, and then unscrew the relative fixing ring. By doing so, we will have freed the petrol pump. At this point, we will be able to extract the petrol pump from the tank, and we will have finished the disassembly. To fit the new petrol pump, we will only have to follow this procedure in reverse, and we will have completed the replacement.

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
