The following steps will guide you on how to remove and replace the engine air filter on a Citroen C4 1.6 HDI. First, open the bonnet of the vehicle and start by removing the upper engine cover; then remove the brake fluid reservoir by unscrewing two fixing screws.

At this point, unscrew the front screws of the air filter cover, remove it, and then take out the cartridge; replace it with the new one, ensuring it is the correct original type, and secure it properly in the airbox before finally refitting the plastic cover.
